$10 bill value questions
How much is a 1928 ten dollar gold certificate worth?
A circulated 1928 $10 gold certificate usually sells for $50–$150; crisp uncirculated notes bring $400 or more. They have been legal to own since 1964.
How much is a 1934 ten dollar bill worth?
A 1934 $10 Federal Reserve Note (green seal) brings about $12–$25 worn. The 1934 $10 blue seal silver certificate is worth $15–$30 circulated, and the yellow seal North Africa note $25–$60.
Is my bill worth more because of its serial number?
Sometimes. A star (★) after the serial number marks a replacement note, and short star-note print runs sell for well above face. Collectors also pay premiums for “fancy” serials: very low numbers (00000001–00000100), solids (77777777), ladders (12345678), radars (12344321) and repeaters (12341234). An ordinary serial on a modern bill adds nothing.
